The purpose of this lesson to provide criminal justice professionals with information to increase their understanding of the sensitivity and necessity for awareness of the LGBTQ IA+ community.
 

Training Objectives:  At the end of this block of instruction, the criminal justice professional will be able to achieve the following objectives:

1. Correctly verbalize the word associated with each letter in the acronym LGBTQ IA+.

2. List at least three (3) factors describing the need for this training.

3. Correctly identify the five (5) support spectrum/understanding personal biases.

4. Describe the function of an LGBTQ police liaison.

5. Properly describe at least three (3) recommendations your agency can implement to improve inclusivity.
